Observing the Holy Week for Outsourcing companies in the Philippines

Being the only Catholic-majority country in Asia, the Philippines celebrates this occasion religiously.

For outsourcing companies, this might not be a good thing. Most of the companies are in a tight schedule and deadlines keep pouring in backlog after backlog.

I know of most call center personnel still go to work during these solemn days. Does outsourcing companies respect local religion and traditions? I'm glad I'm part of a company that outsource and at the same time respect religion. This gives me an excuse to go to the beach. Be with my family. and just reflect on the things that matters most.

Though I'm not a religious person, I still look forward to this event because of the places we usually go to and have fun.

I guest the outsourcing world can actually stop for a while and take time to reflect.

Busy life and many works sometimes can make us forget anything but being Filipino, of course the value of religion and traditions were still on our practice, probably it wont be taken away from us because we were already trained to bare with it since birth. I know many outsourcing companies that really never forget to respect our local religion and traditions despite from the fact that being in this business, it always demands time. I also belong in a company that is faithful in giving time for our customs because we believe that the significant of giving respect towards our religion and traditions can lead to the next step of successful business.
